Vanishing Team Mates. (Video Included)
That looks exactly like what you see sometimes with the phasing technology. A contact that can be phased out but it still active will vanish from sight until you are right on top of them.
I have no idea why it would be acting up on player characters unless perhaps one of you is on a mission that the other already completed which involves a phasing contact.

Looks like the new pseudo-zones. Are you anywhere near Argosy Industrial there (or any of the other 3 pseudo-zones)? Your map (top left I noticed) is a mess of names so I can't make any sense of it at that size.
Reason I say this is twofold..
Firstly your team list shows a grey background (instead of the usual green) just like the pseudo-zones.
Secondly, I was observing street-spawn mobs dissapearing in that fashion, next to a pseudo-zone earlier today.
Still needs to be bugfixed of course... Treating chunks of a street map as a mission zone really wasn't one of their brightest ideas. I'm guessing it was done to allow the in-mission debt settings (less debt from dying inside missions) and increase player interaction (failed due to implimentation).
Between the Loyalists and Resistance, I'd be tempted to support Praetorian Hamidon.
One side uses mind police and will "disappear" you and the other uses poison gas and bombs on civilians. Hamidon? He'll just have a tree eat you. Much simpler. If we're all going to be oppressed and/or killed by someone, it might as well be the walking trees. At least they don't speak in annoying code or doublespeak. They just devour you. |

Yes to every question you asked. Mobs were also disappearing, but not just in the pseudo zones. In the regular zone areas as well. For an example, Clockwork just east of Ms. Liberty, disappeared on me, then returned to attack after I thought they had despawned on me. I ran up to them to attack them, then thought they despawned, so I moved off to another mob, just to be jumped from behind by the clockworks I thought had despawned. What I believe actually happened is that they just simply stopped registering with my video card or something.
Hey gang, I have been having an issue with my team mate vanishing. This particular team mate is my GF, who sits next to me in our room as we play. When she vanishes in my PC, I vanish in hers as well, even though we are only a few feet away from each other. This happens in Atlas Park, we are in the same instance. We use different video cards. Hers is an NVidia GeForce 8600 GT and my card is an NVidia GeForce GTX 260. Her name even will go clear in the team box above the chat box.

In the mean time, does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue? We both play the game on close to max video settings, minus a few options with shadows and Bloom effects.
