Dark Extraction pet fragility issues.

So I've been lurking the forums, playing the game for a while now.

The Warshade AT has always been my favorite AT, and through thick and thin I've stuck it out... starting IOing. My current build is very close to the MFing Warshade build posted in Dech's blog, mostly minus the purples.

Anyways, introductions aside... My main issue I'm having with my Warshade is keeping the damn fluffies alive. I'm more or less invincible, and if I die, big whoop Stygian Return.

So how do I increase the survivability of the fluffies?

Grant invisibilty seems to make them live a little longer. There is also provoke, though as a triform I don't see you getting much use out of it.

Don't forget that you have taunt in Dwarf mode too.

Also, you need to jump into groups first or do a flyby and get on the opposite side of where your fluffies are.

In other words, don't allow your fluffies to remain next to you. Keep moving around so they don't catch any AOE coming your way.

Utilize your Gravitic Emanation and taunt proactively. If you're soloing on x8, they're still going to die a lot, but keeping your enemies both stunned and taunted as often as possible will be the best thing for their survivability.

I wonder if I'm not aggressive enough due to the fact that I don't have that problem. If y'all have solutions, that means y'all have had the problems.

My pet problems come from not actually getting a pet when I cast, as if the enemy has been dead just a second too long.

Sounds like you play from range a lot, then? Having pets die is pretty typical on an agressively played shade. It's generally not that big of a deal, though, because if you're built for high recharge new ones will be available soon enough anyhow.
