Street Justice / Regen

So I searched around and couldn't find much on this combo. If I missed it please post a link.

After reading about StJ's end problems I figured well Ill just use the cheapest secondary and regen came to mind. Plus , It also fit the style of the toon so i went with it.

It seems to be playing out very well ,though I am only at 27. Even if it is an end hog I can attack non stop for great lengths of time and lucky the combo number is just below the health bar so watching those 2 as the sets require isn't to hard.

Basically i would like to hear from others trying this out and see if leveling is still as fun later and if it is reasonably playable late game. I mainly use SOs so I'm more concerned with non IOed experiences.

Just as a side question, might this combo be better as a brute?

Honestly it is better as a brute. Regen was simply meant to be a brute set, to the extent that anything that was nerfed exactly one million times can be said to be meant to be anything. The thing is, regen is better on brutes and street justice is not especially worse on brutes. In addition to the additional punches, stabs and groin pulls you can take as a brute over a scrapper, brute regen also has a taunt component to integration. How unfair is that? Devs obviously hate heroes.

This isn't to say that a SJ/Regen scrapper is going to be bad, and if you're doing fine as is and prefer the tauntless lifestyle then I can personally guarantee you will enjoy that character at high level. I find it to be better in brute form, YMMV.

Does it increase the regen as more are in melee range? I thought it just added the taunt effect.

No. You're thinking Rise to the Challenge, which is a Willpower power.

Integration just adds to regen, and it has a taunt component on brutes. Scrappers lack the taunt component, but get the same regen percentage. Brute regen works better though, because they have more HP to work with.

Let me add my voice to the opinion that you'd be better off with a Brute, at least with that particular combo.

Ok thanks for the advice im gonna re roll him as a brute. I love chasing fury anyways lol.
I think it's bad that integration doesn't have the mechanic like Rise to the Challenge. maybe lower its base regen but then as more are around it increases. would go well for brute and their fury bar. Plus as i have read on the forums regen brutes aren't doing well at tanking and regen hasn't ever been good with lots of aggro that if seen or read. Alas, ill take that argument to the brute forums. Thanks for the help i really appreciate it.

Considering Regen was in the game a year before Brutes even existed, I'm going to have to disagree with you on the word I emphasized.

Regen is mathematically better on Brutes because they have more HP. At the same time it's hard to say the developers meant for it to be better for an AT that didn't receive it until ~7 years after it was originally available to Scrappers.

Currently roleplaying, badgehunting, and laughing at the PvPers of CoX. lol, PvP.
