I've tried a few myself but nothing seems anything other than bland.

Does anyone have a good build for Assault Rifle/Electricty manipulation/Munitions?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Explanations:

I skipped Lightning Field because you probably won't be in melee range long enough for it to deal any significant damage. Elec fence is slotted to help stack immobilizes for ignite. Beanbag the boss, lightning clap to stun him and all the minions in range. Travel power can be swapped out for any other you want. Skipped Sniper rifle because there's not enough slots for a set, and skipped M30 Grenade because the uncontrolled knockback hurts. There's enough slots that you can probably use some sets in some places and get the most important bonuses. Stick a -KB in Combat jumping and Body armor and you're protected from Knockback.

Playstyle:

Use AR's AoE to mow minions down, and Elec's melee attacks to kill tougher targets. It's almost controllerlike in how many Mezzes you have. Freeze ray -> Shocking Grasp + Ignite = Held and quickly dying boss. Follow up with your blaps and you have a safe way to kill bosses.

I'll throw up a build. You say you've tried a few and they seem bland. I'll ask the obvious question..Why even play this build? maybe its your main or you've always like the theme of the build and just want to "spice" it up to make it more fun to play?

To answer your questions Hindenburg -

-Definetly not my main. I have many 50's across four servers and I thought the build would be fun to play. Sometimes I make concept charecters too.

"How much you wanting to spend?"
-I'm not looking to put any purples or high dollar Gladitor recipes. Fine with Numina,LotG and Obliteration price stuff range.

"Are you wanting Defense?"
-I would like some defense

"Are you a flyer or non-flyer?"
-I was planning on simple using jetpack and ninja run to get around.

I am at work so I haven't had a good time to look at your build but I do appreciate the time.

Man I love AR. Most fun set in the game.

So the trick with AR is your cones. It is an AOE set. Use it. To do so, at minimum you need ranged defense. Here is HK-Alpha, my AR/Energy. Should give you some ideas on where to find ranged defense. I will modify for your electric and munitions requirements. and post shortly. One problem is that elec focuses on melee with lighting field and some melee attacks which is not very good with AR.

So, I don't think elec is the best pairing, but here is one thought on it:
leverage the elec PBAoE stun with beanbag to chain stun bosses and provide crowd control.

The build gets you to 32% ranged defense which is ok but not great so you will need an inspiration on tough fights.

I really like LRM but can't find the slots to make it awesome. You will find that you will be chain using the other AOEs already.

By the way, /energy gives you boost range which can be made perma very easily, at which point you effectively have a whole bunch of long range AOE. Just saying...

Thank you Centurion,

One of my many downfalls in this game is makingconcept toons. I've taken some bad power choices just because I feel this character would have used that. This isn't one of my uber toons but I do want him to survive. I enjoy the AR set and never had one before.
