Rad/Dark PBAoE Build help

Trying to make a PBAoE Monster here. My build goals were,

Ranged defense, I think ill benefit more from ranged then melee due to the fact that i will stun anything that gets close, and S/L is out because im going soul.
Recharge,
Hps (almost capped)
Recovery.

Was only able to squeeze out 33% ranged defense without severely underslotting some of my key powers. Even then i wish i had about 6 more slots to work with here lol. What really hurts is the Stupefy Proc is a chance to KB. You get 3.13 ranged defense for 6 slotting the set into dark pit and Oppressive gloom but i refuse to add Knockback into the mix.

Any suggestions on how to improve this build, its no where near set in stone. Plus, My mids is acting up when it comes to looking at enhancement numbers so be kind.

Fiddled with this a bit. Left your powers, moved some slots and sets around. Capped ranged, gave up a bit of HP and recharge. Don't think I 'gimped' it anywhere, but I'm having the same problem with mids. It's also showing me capped hp- down from 1840. That can't be right.

I avoided the kb proc in stupefy- perhaps dark pit can be frankenslotted to free up a couple of slots? Aim, hasten, weave, maneuvers, tough, and dark embrace could all use another slot...

Prob'ly raised the price on it by an order of magnitude with those enzymes. Not sure what your budget is like, one could skimp with def/end pieces.

It's me again! hehe.

Using soul mastery doesn't preclude building for s/l defense, it's just harder to get to the cap than it is with scorpion armor. I swapped the hold for the cone immob in this one. This example caps s/l defense.
