Error while downloading NCLauncher Update

I had a similar issue updating the launcher on OS X (10.5.8). After saying yes to the update, it crashed. Now the launcher gives this message when I try to open it.
"You cannot use this version of the application NCLauncher with this version of Mac OS X."
Attempting to launch CoH from a non-updated launcher gives this error instead:
"Error While Downloading!
Download failed! Error - file doesn't exist (null)"
while attempting to get cider-COHD-Updater-006998.tgz
Friends confirm that it works for 10.6, but that upgrade isn't required by the CoH system spec. I've tried redownloading the launcher, and the behavior is consistent. The game is completely unreachable until this bug is fixed.
Just went to go launch CoH and it said there was an update for the NCLauncher. I hit "Yes" and then immediately get a message that says..:
"Error While Downloading!"
"Download failed! Error- The operation couldn't be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1100.) (null)"
I am currently playing on a mac (Not boot camped) using the mac client. Never had this problem before and was just playing City of Heroes yesterday.
If anyone has any advice of what I can do to fix this it will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
