Much as I may poo-poo Praetoria, the one thing it never failed at is being pretty, and the new zone and the new factions are very pretty.

Three reasons: 1. Because Cole is failing the Well. His invasion of Primal Earth was not the quick push over he thought it to be. This has led to Praetorian Hamidon to lose respect for Cole and break their truce where Cole had to prove to P-Hami that humanity was worth not destroying. And now Cole has a two-front war on his hands. Meaning that maybe he won't be the Well's Champion to drive off The Coming Storm.
And, 2. Because Cole left a lot of collateral damage in the war on Hamidon and while crafting his paradise. Those whom he has hurt want vengeance, and, the Furies are all about making that happen.
And, 3. They're not really the Furies of the Well in that the Well gets mad and dispatches its Furies, but instead the Furies of the Well in that in Primal Earth, the Furies were the only Immortal Incarnates that hung around guarding the Ancient Greek incarnation of the Well. Thus, that Well is often called the Well of the Furies. They're more the Furies empowered by the Well as much as any other Incarnate is.
