I find these forums and the Freedom TF Chat to be better sources than a SG for me.
For SGs, I have a personal one for storage and I inherited [though Tidbit is the leader] an abandoned marketing experiment from last year.
There are other channels, in fact, let me piggyback on your thread and ask...
What are some good channels for TF/SF and just radio/tips/GM hunting/etc?

My experience thus far with 40+ content is that people are much more inclined to play the game and I imagine that will continue with lvl 50 content. Tonight at 9:30 central there'll be some TF, or lately it's been Ouro arcs, on redside with Mr. E and usually a second team. These'll be forum players who know how to play. I've been pugging this last weekend and I really missed players that knew how to play.
Not sure what's happening tonight. Often I'm looking up the post in the forums as I'm logging in to find out where to go.

Hey all! Old Beta player back and preparing before f2p. As the title says, I have a scraper (elec/sd, lvl 50) looking for a home. A few things about me:
What time of day do you play?
-usually play around 5-10 central time, during the week
-weekends are hit or miss
What in-game actions?
-looking to get my incarnate powers
-comfortable running all the group actions but I'm not familiar with most of the end game content
-I do claim to be a fast learner
What team-size do you prefer?
-any team size works for me
What skills do you bring to the table?
-lots of MMO experience
What do you bring to the SG?
-I'm a pretty fun guy to have around
Any limitations?
-I can't always be on ventrillo/voice chat because my fiance doesn't like to hear random chatter
