Dark/Thermal Cor, or Emp/Ice Def? Which endgame?

With summer coming to an end my time to play will be cut a ton with lesson plans and coaching so I'd like to focus on 1 of these. Both are right around lvl 30, give or take a few levels. I'd like to have something useful in endgame, which initially lead me to look at the dark/thermal, but lately I've been seeing a lot of requests for support and healers. Both sets can heal, granted the Emp does it better, but its the rest of the sets that have me wondering which is best out of these two.

There will always be request for healers. These requests are to be ignore unless you like getting on bad PuGs. My ramblings on Emp are on the defender forum so I'll just say Dark/thermal corr and leave it at that. I would probably go Ice/thermal, but that's more of what I would do.

If it's end-game content you are going to focus on, then I would say Dark/Thermal as well, simply because people are usually packed with +defense but not with resistance.

Dark Blast is also going to be a lot better with Life Drain's improvement.
