New to MM's

Hello MM community (: As the title says im looking to try an MM, which I've honestly never really liked. I play pretty much ONLY defenders, and every now and then a cor, troller or dom. I've always liked the idea of /poison but like i said... i dont really like MM's... Since its being proliferated soon i NEED something to hold me over until i can make my Plant/poison troller or some other Cor. What would be a fun primary to pair with /poison?

ALSO what are some fun things you can do with the combos? (has to be /poison)

Thanks :D

My suggestion would be Necro/Poison/Leviathan for the humor value. By level 10, you and your zombies will be puking all over the enemy. Dual puke power. Its hilarious. I never get tired of it. Add in Leviathan for another puke/spit attack, Bile Spray. As a bonus, you have a (mediocre probably, but hey) version of KO blow, so that after you puke on someone and spit on them with your single target poison hold, you can punch them in the face for good measure. Well, in theory. My Necro/Poison is only level 33 curremtly.

Have fun!

If you like Vomit humour . Demons are great for a first MM because they can look after themselves and do great damage however some people don't like to team with them because they are too big and noisy. Thugs and Ninjas are also good choices for damage.

Agreed. My first MM was ds/poison, and I just love her and have a lot of fun on ds/poison (and the amount of damage those guys toss around is pretty amazing, too). As for the big and noisy thing, just set up an <em atease> macro for them, that makes them all stand still (i.e. no roaring/snorting/snuffling/grunting, either). Well, I guess that's just the one I use and any em command would work fine, come to think of it.

Thanks everyone I think i'll try either a zombie or demon MM. Probably go with Demon, even though im gonna miss life drain

BUT should i take the whip attacks in the demon set? maybe just the cone for -res and some extra AOE damage

My suggested MM for first timers is Thugs/pain. Incredibly easy set to play and survivable; the easiest way to enjoy the AT and learn it at the same time.

Wassabi Grav/Kin 50 (before badges/accolades were in game) Pinnacle
Miss Command Bots/Traps 50 Justice

*others left off due to space issues

You can't go wrong with Thugs/.

And if you team with another Thugs/ MM your Enforcers' Leadership powers stack. Oh, and don't forget the madness that is known as 'Gang War'.

What he said. Thugs is an outstanding set, and gang war is THE best "special" mm power (anyone care to dispute this?)... With poison your going to want to pair it with a "sturdy" primary (def = sturdy, not resists), ie Bots or Thugs. I personally think thugs is a better choice for /poison. You have the potential to completely WTFPWN almost any AV/Hero in the game with a good thugger/poison build.

Yes.
Gang war requires a successful hit. Hell on Earth doesn't. So there.

(I do like thugs though).

Hell on Earth is the 2nd best (in my opinion obviously). Although it may be true that Gang War requires a successful hit roll, I truly can't recall a single occasion where it missed... Additionally, gang war does so much more. The dps of the posse isn't spectacular, it is the total surround they perform on any boss/av/whatever and the fact that they take tons of heat off of the important pets that makes it totally cool.

The first 50 I really cared about was a thugs/dark and I loved nothing more than dropping GW on every mission boss and watching them panic. It was awesome fun. I do remember a few occasions when it missed but yeah you can't go wrong with either sets.
