is the smashing and lethal softcap on defense still worth pursuing on a ma/wp stalker?

I've been out of the real pvp loop for a while and went and made a stalker. Now the mids build that i made costs a pretty penny but looks like it will be pretty rockin. I just need to know if the smashing and lethal softcap is still somewhat effective in pvp. Or if i should just be building for cap hp and knockback res like everyone seems to nowadays.

You don't need a lot of +HP to cap a WP stalker.

You don't need any KB protection IOs becuase you have a toggle that makes you immune to knockback.

Don't bother with defense on a WP.

Just build for damage.

Ok so i take it gladiator and purple sets and proc up my attacks like crazy?

AS is 3 nucs 3 procs. I'd do the same with sharks. Everything else just slot for +dam bonus.

Also slot up your travel powers. DR hits them hard.

Lol 3 nucs and 3 procs sounds nasty. Since i have your infinite knowledge available...I can only slot 5 of the same set and still get bonusoes for it right?
