Post your fire/dark builds please!

Looking for a solid fire/dark build. This power set is so much fun so far so i'm looking for a final build at level 50 for my character. My preferences are to just make the build as well rounded as possible for PvE content!

That isn't a popular combination, so I doubt many people will post builds. You are better off searching for other Dark Armor builds and adapting them to fit with Fiery Melee. The best builds will have around 32.5% defense to S/L and E/N, or melee/ranged/aoe.

I would say average builds, not best.

I'm going to go ahead and warn you that this kind of thread comes off as extraordinarily lazy. You are not likely to get someone willing to just hand you a build, especially since there are ton of builds already posted in this section. A quick search and you could easily find one to "borrow," or as Syntax said, adapt to your own style.

What you will get a lot of help with is if you post your own build and ask for constructive criticism. There are a great many of us willing to help you with your build provided you put some work into it first.

If you're not going to put any work into it, then one last option is to persuade me to put the effort into it for you. Something like 500 million inf will do.

Despite largely agreeing with Dechs post, I'm gonna throw up this build.

Sadly I am behind the times when it comes to Firey Melee. I also remain a fan of Breathe of Fire despite it's bad press. Not sure what the ideal ST attack chain is, so one of these powers may be redundant. I'd actually appreciate advice in dropping a power, would simplify some slotting for me.

FM/DA as a bit low on my priority list, but when I get to it, the build will look something like what's posted below. This build is of course unplayable without Accolades and Cardiac Alpha.

Im not sure the poster should be characterized as lazy. This is acknowledged as a powerset combo that is not often used or talked about. If a new player has no idea where to start, and nothing is recent, just throwing powers on mids and presenting it, simply lends itself to "veterans" ripping apart the build, and submitting a completely new build anyway.

I think the poster was trying to start a dialogue, that is often difficult here, as the long time posters, have at times, lack patience for new players.

I think the best advice may be, to just start picking powers that you want to have, try them and see which of them you like. Then you can ask for help on a build that includes those powers, and get feedback, on why you may want to include, or exclude some of your choices. If this is one of your early characters, there is a very good chance, it never gets to a high lvl, and you wont find any of the advice of any use. Or you may find you cannot afford the cost of builds presented to you. Then again, the game is rapidly changing, so the advice you get today, may be less relevant when you get to the point of actually collecting sets.

Almost any scrapper can do very well, at reasonable player settings, with just basic SO or IO slotting. The amazing builds, cost lots of influence, often are only really good at one thing, and often times, are purely theoretical. I dont know about Dark Armour myself, except that I have failed miserabley at playing it. I agree, you can look over some recent guides or builds and get a gist of what powers do what, and how best to leverage them. After that, you can probably put together a build that seems to encompass what you want, and let those with more experience, crituque it.

Good Luck.
