I think that they're still in the fotm rotation. They just haven't had a turn lately.
I havent played Invul/SS or SS/Invul, but i have a Fire/SS Tanker, and a Invul/Fire Tanker. So dunno if it helps, but you still can Softcap brutes. Like my Invul.Fire is softcapped to S/L/E/N/F/C. Shes a beast, also with a brute, they dont have the Hitpoints like a tanker, so Dull Pain makes things alot easier on a brute, giving them that extra boot. Add a fury bar, your kickin some *** lol. Just think your more of a scrapper with SS as a primary and Invul as ur secondary. Hope i made sense here for ya, i just got up, brain not workin yet. :P

Controllers : Fire/Kin, Ele/Rad, Earth/Cold
I have a level 50 SS/Inv and its a great combo. Leveling was a pain, due to endurance issues. Once you get some cardiac love then it because just so much easier to play.

Anyway, I love playing my SS/Inv brute! It does get a little low on end here and there, but a few inspirations and I'm back in the game. Anyway I love it and I'm glad I picked it as my first to level to 50.
As a combo on a tanker it works very well. I was thinking I may want another brute at some point, but, I don't see many SS/ Invul brutes going about. Are they just Tankers with a fury bar?
Do they work as a brute would be expected to?
