elec/energy tank builds?
It is very difficult to soft cap a character with no defensive toggles outside of pool powers. That is why I suggest aiming for 32.5% defense and using a small inspiration to reach the soft cap when you really need it. That method also allows you to cover energy defense, which is just as important as S/L because of the incarnate content.
If you want to find builds, try searching for just Electric Armor builds, not your specific combination. The melee sets are usually fairly easy to swap between while retaining the set bonuses. I have posted a Elec/Dark Melee Tanker build in the past that features 32.5% positional defenses if you want to start by searching for that. I know others have posted similar builds, and likely in the same threads I posted in.
Hi Anthius, I whipped together a really quick build for you that has 45% Smashing and Lethal Defense. I stopped the build at level 41, because I did not know what Anciliary pool you wanted and S/L defenses were already capped at that point, so you have four power picks left and quite a few slots left also. This is by no means "the best" build, but it should perform well. While I agree with Syntax's point that energy defense is important because of the incarnate material, it shouldn't factor in as much for you because you have capped energy resistance. Personally, I do not consider this to be an expensive build and nearly all of the IOs the build has can be obtained through the AE bronze or silver pools (and the lotgs are totally optional). I hope this helps as a general guide for getting the defense you want and depending on the powers you take from 41-49 some of the slotting of earlier powers can be changed, I'd strongly suggest adding more accuracy to barrage and bonesmasher and squeezing in more recharge. Alright thanks for the help both of you. I took the build you gave dreamkeeper and added to it, I got a few extra defense things just in case I run into some neg energy damage as that could be an issue and some more recharge and regen.

Hi everyone I'm leveling an elec/eng tank and I am having issues making an IO build for it. Trying to get the softcap s/l with it at least but not really getting anywhere in mids while trying.
I have made a inv/kin build before but not sure why I just can't seem to get a proper build with this. would anyone out there be able to give me some advice? or maybe a sample build I could take and maybe adjust to fit myself? any help would be appreciated.
