How do I make COH Updater for Live update faster?

It looks like it won't let me add it to the NC-Soft Launcher too.

I decided to reinstall Steam to try to fix a problem I had by deleting it, but apparently my live coh updater was from Steam so it was deleted along with the rest of my Steam Games, so I decided to install my copy of Going Rogue to see if it would help speed things up & it did, but it's still going to take me all day to do it.
So a few years ago, someone told me that if I took all the files from another Icon or something & copied & pasted it into the the Icon, the updater would be much faster.
Any ideas as to how I can do it?
