Warshade IO Build- Looking for feedback/suggestions

I finally finished what I thought would be a great build but I must say I'm pretty thoroughly disappointed by it. I seem to have endurance problems sometimes and I still get faceplanted by Malta on x8. I was hoping after I spent all this inf, I would never see the inside of a hospital again. I'm primarily a solo player so that deserves to be mentioned.

Some things-

I'll be putting my last LOTG proc in Maneuvers tonight.

I'm not sure about the performance shifter proc in Stamina since I only have one slot for it.. I'm thinking I would be better off respecing to fit an extra slot in there, or just putting a regular endurance mod instead.

Not sure about the 6 slotted Touch of the Nictus set in Essence Drain since I never use the power.. I only set it up that way because of the negative energy damage bonus for voids and such.

Not sure about the Stagger set in Gravitic Emanation. I took it because I could afford it and it had a crappy recharge bonus.

I like Obliteration in Quasar but I think it might be better with 5 slots instead of 6.

I don't know about reactive armor in Black Dwarf either, I just put it in there in lieu of the 3 Damage resistance SO's I had since it was cheap. I read that the performance shifter proc is good to put in your forms but then I also read that 3 damage resistance is the way to go, not sure where I would get a 4th slot from.

I plan on throwing a performance shifter proc into Nova form in lieu of flight speed.

I wish I had more slots for Nova emanation because I like it and use it a lot, but once again don't know where they'd come from.

Wish I had slots for Dwarf Strike and Smite, too, though the Tempered readiness pairs seem to do ok.

I've thought about replacing the 2 Hammi's in Dwarf Mire with 2 more pieces of the Scirocco's set for the accuracy bonus, but again not sure if it's worth it.

So as you can see, I am in desperate need of guidance. Please help me.

I'll look at this more when I get home, but AAAAAAH! Why is Eclipse at 47? Move your concealment powers to those higher levels and bump everything else down. And why is it not slotted with resists at all? It does not need endurance modification at all.

Get Gravity Well at 18, Dwarf at 20, Stygian Circle at 22. No exceptions.

Stygian Circle does not need slotted for heal. It heals you pretty much to full with two minions or one boss. It needs end mod and recharge, but don't go overboard. Just two or three slots total.

You don't need Essence Drain or the slots it has. Move those to Nova Emanation. It's your strongest AoE attack. It has a little bit less range and it's a cone, but that shouldn't be a problem.

Again, I'll give this a better look when I'm home from work tonight. I see a lot already that should change. It'll help if you do that before I take my second look.

Oh, I didn't make the build in mids in the actual order that I picked the powers. I have that set in eclipse for the recharge bonus... What would be a better set to use?

Once again, this is just the mids version of a character that already actually exists... I didn't put the actual levels that I chose the powers at since I made it after the fact in mids.

That set is in Stygian Circle for the recharge bonus. I was under the impression that was the most important thing to worry about with IO's in a Warshade.

I know essence drain is worthless, once again i just slotted it like that for the negative energy defense. at a certain point I noticed I had a choice between a bunch of worthless powers so I just picked them randomly after I already had enough worthless powers that took LOTG proc's.

Not really sure what to do since any of the changes you suggested aside from the essence drain one would effect my recharge bonus, and I don't know what other sets to put in what places to achieve the same results. :/

Recharge bonuses are important to improve a Warshade, but if you sacrifice the functionality of key powers then it does not matter how fast they recharge. Using a badly slotted power more often is not always the way to go. You want to shoot for the recharge bonuses, but you do not want to sacrifice actually slotting the powers for good effect.

For example:
I do not know enough about Warshade Nova/Dwarf forms to truly analyze, but I have trouble believing using six slots on Dark Nova Blast is a good call unless a lot of that is for damage. I know Gravity Well should be slotted as an attack on a human form, but I imagine the same must apply even on a build that uses the other forms.

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.
Tactics are for those who do not have a big enough hammer. Wisdom is knowing how big your hammer is.

Understood, that does make sense but the fact is that I just don't know how to appropriately slot the powers for optimal function AND get the recharge bonuses at the same time. It's obviously do-able, but I'm not familiar enough with all the sets (or any of them really) to be able to automatically know what to put where for what purpose, hence my posting here. This is the first time I've ever tried to make a build using IO sets.

Edit: The Basilisk's Gaze set gives a 7.5% recharge bonus for only 4 slots. I feel like that's a really good deal and I don't know where else it would go besides in Gravity Well. I could put it in Gravimetric Snare I guess, but I never use that power so that would seem wasteful, plus then I'd be out the slots for Gravity Well.

I have a couple of suggestions which I hope will help you.

- Unchained Essence and Dark Nova Detonation are two of your most powerful attacks. They are begging you for damage enhancements. Try five Positron Blast in each (not the Damage/Range IO).
- The Miracle Proc only works for 2 minutes after you use the power it is slotted in. I hope you don't use Stygian Return every two minutes. Save some money and use a plain old recharge IO in Stygian Return.
- Inky Aspect is way over slotted. This power only needs the initial slot to hold an Accuracy/Mez Hami IO. I know you are looking for recharge but 2.5% isn't worth four extra slots. I suggest moving two slots into Dwarf Smite and two into Dwarf Strike then you can slot two sets of Crushing Impact for +10% recharge and significantly increase the stats of these two attacks.
- Dwarf heal needs to hit to heal you at all. You need to put one accuracy in this power. You can either slot Crushing Impacts (less heal but better damage) or one Accuracy/Damage Hami IO and five Doctored Wounds (need to find a slot, maybe from Quasar). I prefer the 2nd option.
- Eclipse needs to hit to do any good but at least it can hit multiple targets. You are 11 seconds away from making Eclipse perma and getting Eclipse perma is usually one of the biggest goals of a WS build. At a minimum you want as much Recharge and Resistance as you can get, even if you only slot Resistance/Recharge IO's from different sets. I slotted one Performance Shifter Acc/Recharge, three Resistance/Recharge IO's (Titanium, Aegis, Impervium) and a Resistance IO (from the Impervium set). ED capped recharge and resistance with a touch of accuracy.
- You are already over the Rule of 5 limit on 6.25% recharge enhancements, plus I am suggesting adding two Posi Blast sets. You need change some sets around since you are not getting any benefit from the excess 6.25% recharge bonuses. I don't see any obvious ways right now (without using Purples) since Posi's Blast is the only good damage IO for Targeted AoE's. Maybe move two slots from Gravitic Emanation into Dwarf Mire and upgrade to Obliterations?
- You would get better stats from slotting three Titanium Coatings in Dark Dwarf since they are level 50 IO's, plus you get a few hit points. The only thing you get with three Reactive Armor is a bit of defense but you don't have any other defense to stack with it. Plus Titanium Coatings are much cheaper.

Hope you can use a couple of these suggestions.

Best regards,

Tommy Truestar

Ok, you're right that Recharge is one of the things a Warshade wants the most, but you only need enough to make Eclipse permanent. With Hasten running, you've got plenty of overlap, so you have room to back off a bit.

I won't lie, it's still pretty bad. Try this. It uses some creative frankenslotting I talk about in my guide, and uses a few more of the recommended sets.

edit: I am removing the original build posted here because I got more feedback since posting. I really appreciate everyone's help, you guys are all great. I tried to keep everyone's suggestions in mind but there were some conflicts in Tommy's suggestion in terms of too many of the same set bonus, and I didn't want to steal the build that Dechs was kind enough to post, though the point on slotting some regular IO's is taken. Anyways, here it is and thanks again.

That looks a lot better to me. There are still some things I would choose to do differently, but you look decently functional now.

For future build posting I recommend using Short Forum Export AND unchecking both boxes in the Set Bonuses section. They just make the post painfully long.

Why Blasters? Empathy Sucks.
So, you want to be Mental?
What the hell? Let's buff defenders.

Ok, sorry about that.. I'll edit with the shorter version. Would it be ok to ask what things you would do differently? I only have one respec right now and I'd like to use it wisely.

In the time you posted, I made an edit to my previous post and added an example of what the short export looks like. That sample contains my changes. I'd also likely not use the Panacea set in Black Dwarf Drain, but I am not well versed on Dwarf play so I left it be.

Yeah I noticed that, I guess I'm a little overenthusiastic. The reason I used the Panacea set is because Tommy recommended an Accuracy/Damage Hami and five Doctored Wounds, but the recharge bonus from Doctored Wounds was a conflict so I slotted Panacea for the same amount of slots and a better bonus. I see the changes you made removing the slow sets from nova bolt and dwarf strike to make for more damage in gravity well and the extra hami-o in gravitic emanation and that does make sense since the recharge bonuses from the slow sets were pretty negligible.

The build I posted was just a modification of yours, albeit a lot of modifications. You wouldn't be stealing a build.
