Login Screen Problem
I'd recommend that he set his desktop resolution to 1024x768 and see if he can log into the game then.
Once you're in the game, you can change your resolution (which takes effect the next time you start the game). Exit the game, change the desktop back to normal settings, and then see if he can log in again.

If your friend's desktop resolution is smaller than that and can't, for some reason, be increased.... reply with what it is and I'll see what I can do when I get forum access again. Gonna be out for a few hours. Can't help if it's not a windows computer though.

Between the Loyalists and Resistance, I'd be tempted to support Praetorian Hamidon.
One side uses mind police and will "disappear" you and the other uses poison gas and bombs on civilians. Hamidon? He'll just have a tree eat you. Much simpler. If we're all going to be oppressed and/or killed by someone, it might as well be the walking trees. At least they don't speak in annoying code or doublespeak. They just devour you. |
Hi and thanks both for the replies.
The delay in my response was due to the fact Chad's suggestion worked, and we've spent the last 6 hours playing
And just for general info, my friend's pc reso is normally 1920x1080, but once he changed it to this in the game options, he reset it back to normal, and could access the game without any problem - and is happily enjoying it

Hi and as a pre-warning thing, I have done a search on what I am after but can't find anything that is similar, but I admit that it may be I have searched incorrectly, so I apologise in advance if I have missed something.
Also, this post is a problem a friend has (yes, they all say that! lol) and not myself, but I will admit it rang reminder bells from years ago when he told me.
My friend has dl'd the game from the official source, it did its thing and he clicked next, and it took him to the login screen.
At this point it changed his resolution to 1024x768 (it usually runs at 1920x1080 - at this point Id like to say mine runs at 1920x1200, it did the resolution thing but didnt have a problem logging me in).
But also at that point, it stopped responding to his mouse, it wouldnt respond to clicking in the user name box, nor if he just typed, did anything seem to appear.
My friend also ran a verification of the files, but still the same problem.
Any advice on this would be great.
Thanks in advance
Deeply
