Serious latency issues post 10/5 patch!

Hey guys,

I'm experiencing some major intermittent lag with general high latency after the patch on 10/5/2010. I'm operating at an average of 150-350ms ping with spikes up to 500-800 at fairly regular intervals. I have never, at any point since 2004, experienced technical issues with City of Heroes, so this is all brand new to me. :O

I've scanned my computer for malware and viruses, diagnosed my internet connection to see if anything was piggybacking off my line, defragmented my hard drives, and played with my graphics options - but the lag strikes even when I'm just running around solo in an instanced mission, and not necessarily when there are a lot of powers flying around.

My girlfriend and I share the same connection through a router and her computer is experiencing no issues after the patch, so I figure that's a good reason to rule out my ISP.

Interestingly, when I pull up my Netgraph, the entire thing is shot through with red lines at regular intervals. I've never seen anything like this before and have no idea what it could mean -- if anyone could provide and help/advice/knowledge on the matter I would be greatly appreciative.

The following is a link to a screenshot of my netgraph, seeing as I seem to have forgotten how to put images in. >_>

Oddly enough, CoH Helper brings up a .NET framework error when I try to run it.

HijackThis, however, produced the following:

Do a cold boot (Shut down, sing the Jeopardy Song, and fire it up again). then try CoH Helper again. Also, check to make sure your .NET stuff is up to date on Windows Updates.

And are you connecting wired or wirelessly?
