Ok, here's my issue. I just purchased CoH: Going Rogue Full Edition.
The game installs fine. When I run it, the updater is supposed to come up, but I get nothing. I can hear the HD spinning up, and Task Manager shows the updater running, yet no GUI pops up.
So I downloaded the latest updater, ran the install, and *THAT* new version does start up - again the HD spins up, and task manager shows it running, but it just sits there trying to connect over and over. I let it run all night and come on to find it "Trying #452"
Now I run all of the Updater versions in Admin mode as I'm using Win7 x64.
Also I used the command line in the desktop shortcut to bypass the updater and simply run the game; it did start up and I was able to get to the login screen, of course I would get a DB Login Error so I could not continue, and i'm sure my version would have not matched the server version of the game any, but I digress.
I am running the Updater in Admin Mode, I did try running the Updater from both the install directory AND from the desktop as well as the Programs Menu.
I did try installing it several times - sometimes changing the default directory to something like C:\CoH or C:\CityofHeroes
Now, I do believe the issue has something to do with my internet. When i tried to download the game from Direct 2 Drive, neither their Comrade nor the Download Manager programs would connect to let me download the game. I would get the same errors as I am now with the Updater. I was finally able to get it to download in the Download Manager when I opened IE up and chose to open the link and download from their as opposed to using Firefox to open the link on the page and download from there.
However I don't see anyway to incorporate IE into the Updater. So that's a moot point.
I did download CoH Helper, and it crashes on me. This is what I get;

And just to clear up any confusion; My video drivers have been updated in the last month or so.
My Temp Files and Internet Temp Files, Cookies, and all Caches have been cleared.
My system has been rebooted numerous times with all ports being forwarded through my Router.
Windows Firewall is allowing the game through and I see no warnings from AVG.
Also my registry has been cleaned and any errors have been fixed. I did this after I had trouble with the Updater. But no affect.
Also I have noticed that I am missing a few files from what HighJack This tells me. But I am not sure if that could be part of the problem, or another problem separately. I do want to add that I run 3 other MMOs as well as various games and programs with no issues whatsoever.
