Curiosity: How did you log off last night - did you DC (get DisConnected) and decide not to log back in? If so, there's your prob. It just never got the word that you had logged off (because technically you didn't), until you forced it to check by trying to log in twice.
Yeah, sometimes your account status can get stuck as "online"
But changing your password isn't a bad idea, just in case.
