Sentaria whimpered each time she moved. The tough girl acting not so tough now that Arachnos dug their claws into her. She didn't think they were this aggregious and heartless. Psiteria walked into her sister's room with a damp cool cloth and placed it on her forhead. Tears streamed down Sentaria's cheeks as she looked at her younger sister.
"Go ahead....say it....I told you so..." she said through gritted teeth. The numbness of the drinks from the day before wearing off.
"I don't want to say it. Not today. This is one Carnie who's not going to laugh at you, Sent. You know that." Psiteria. One of the many great illusionists of the Carnival of Shadows. Sentaria was there when Psiteria decided to run after learning the Carnival was going to take her soul in exchange for the powers she possessed. Sure she still dressed like them. But she was NOTHING like them at all. Psiteria was always upbeat. And would use magic tricks to make kids laugh. But her powers of domination of the mind were nothing to laugh at. She smiled at her big sister. "But I god damn told you so."
Arachnos connected Sentaria's backpack directly into her spine. Most brutally by Lord Recluse's orders. He found out she sent information to Paragon about what was happening in Grandville. Sentaria hated Arachnos now more than ever. The pain was not from the weight of the arms. But the electrical impulses flowing through her. Every ounce of strength was needed to power the arms. Psiteria had done something that Sentaria almost shot her for. Instead of a regular doctor, Psiteria contacted one of the Meat Doctors from the Freakshow. He examined Sentaria and told the both of them the pain would go away in a few days. But if the backpack was ever removed without proper modifications, the procedure would kill Sent.
"What are we going to do now, big sis?"
"We're going to follow your idea. We're going to Paragon. Arachnos ticked this b**** off enough. We'll prove ourselves to them however we can. I don't care how we do it. I want each and every enemy of ours to feel the bite from the Black Arachnia. I'm going to use Arachnos' own weapon against them. I just hope the people of Paragon are willing to believe us."
"I'm sure they will. We haven't hurt them. At least, I hope we haven't." Psiteria hugged her big sister so gently and went to make the contact to Longbow.
Anger raged in Sentaria's eyes. She was no hero. But she was going to make every villian pay. No matter what.
