Same comment as above. I actually like the layout here a tad better (The gun man almost looks like an after thought on #65) but I like the style of 65 a tad better so it won out. Easily could flip these two though depending on when I was picking...

There is better art in the contest (not that this art is bad!) but this is powerful due to the framing of the shot, the pose of TA in it, the mood and emotion of it... Very expressive.
But man, good luck with the judging... It was easier for me than it will be for you because I don't have to worry about second thoughts, if I based my judging on what I said I would be, etc etc etc. For example, I'd feel bad the top two choices got there in part based on the artist including the entire cast since that wasn't a stated part of the contest... If/when I do run a contest I'm going to have to be very clear both in the rules and with myself on just what I'll be judging on.

This one was all about mood for me. The art itself is really nice but the mood that it conveys is what sets it apart for me. (The floating fabric, the stone on a cloudy sky, the ambers floating up ... all of it)

Eventhough the face strays a bit from the references, I wanted to applaud the guts of not including TA and giving this piece a great mood that is very appropriate for the character. The painting itself stands out too.

Similar to #49, it has a nice mood but I think that this one has a very defined styled that worked well with the selected angle of the piece.

Here's my mock votes, since I put them in the wrong thread previously.
There were a few that were ridiculously good and sophisticated execution: #33, #36, #64, #65. With 64 being my most favorite.
Trying to make another choice comes down to mood - #12 for uniqueness, or #18 for the superior merlion, or #30 for style, or #44 for sense of awe, etc.

Just wrapping up this contest. I originally guessed that I would have around 20 to 30 entries and really had no idea that it would be as successful as it turned out to be.
What I wanted to do was just see where you guys were at and what ya thought about the entries. What your top 5 would be so I figure a mock poll is just what the doctor ordered.
