Did you purchase a European or a North American version of Architect?
Are you using the matching file to launch the appropriate version of the game?
If you bought a European version of the game, your installation folder should contain CohUpdater.eu.exe.
If you bought a North American version of the game, your installation folder should contain CohUpdater.exe.
If your installation folder does not match what it should, rename the updater file inside the folder to match. Then copy the file to your desktop (right-click on file, copy...right-click on desktop, paste) and run it from there. Tell it to install into the already-created installation folder. You can then delete the file you copied onto your desktop, and the extra garbage files that were created during the "re-installation".

Thanks its reinstalling now hopefully ill get to play it soon everything seems to be going well but it appears to be stuck at 99% its been fixing piggs/geom.pigg for about 5 mins its currently at 87m/63k and thats not a typo.
If this has not yet been fixed for you (though hopefully it has), cancel the currently running fix and go into your City of Heroes directory and delete any .checksum files, then run the updater again.
Please note that the target for any shortcuts for an EU version need to point to "CoHUpdater.EU.exe" (or however it appears in the directory).

I jus got myself a copy of the architect edition, applied the code created a new account no problems and now when I enter the details in the log in screen all I get is a "the details you have entered are incorrect" and I know they are correct the account is active and everything is set up correctly according to the master account I have tried changing the password several times still to no avail
help . I really wanted to get playing tonight
