Ice/Electric?

I always wanted to play an Ice tank, but am having a really hard time deciding on a secondary.

I try not to do the same secondary twice, so the current high lvl tanks I have are Stone/SS, Fire/Ice, Invul/EM, and of course my shelved 50 Stone/Stone.

So its between Fire, Electric, Weapons, and Dark

I was thinking Electric might be good, because of Ice's powerful aggro (chilling embrace + Icicles) and Lightning Rod and Thunderstrike could work well with that.

What do you guys think? I am open for suggestions.

My only high lvl Ice tanker is of the /fire variety and it has it all. Awesome on teams, aggros like no one's business (my only tank without Taunt---and I'm a big supporter of Taunt), self heal, wonderful end recovery power and of course, the slows in the aura.
/Fire has great synergy. Tons of PbAoEs, big ST hitters and a cone for extra Aoe goodness.

Oh, and an oh crap power (Hibernate) which I tend to like.

I am trying out and Ice/Elec Tank, as well. Only up to 19, but in theory, the two sets should mesh well for the reasons you outlined.

Ice/Fire is a pretty established and effective Tank combo, and Elec Melee is similar in that it is a good PBAoE. But with some cooler powers, IMO (visually, anyway; don't know how the numbers match up).

Ice/elec performs well on a budget. I rolled one in the beta when we got the new style diff slider, and I was soloing +1x8 at decent speed and complete safety on SOs.

With IOs it could be a whole load of fun.

I'm planning an Ice/Electric Tanker too. I had an old Ice/SS tanker, but I hate SS, so I was looking around for an alternative to SS that didnt have any weapon shapes (Axe, Fire Sword) or weird magic (Touch of Fear, Midnight Grasp) in them. At first I was thinking Energy Melee but then I realized that Electric is a punch melee set with some fun stuff in it.

So my guy will definitely be Ice/Electric.

Here is my planned build. It isn't cheap, but it isn't as pricey as some either.
