TA contest thread

The contest:

This contest is about my newest concepts for Thor's Assassin and his villains. I'll be looking for art of Thor's Assassin's newest concept design and/or art of his villains called The Shadow Syndicate. There isn't a lot of art done of TA's new look and none as of yet done for the Shadow Syndicate so I figure this will be an appropriate challenge for the participants. Below are two links to references to both TA's new concept and his 5 villains. On the Shadow Syndicate link there is a lot of explanation for the group but if you scroll down a bit you will find references for all 5 of them. Though it would help to get a background on the group if you are planning on drawing them. With TA's concept it's important to read the description as their are no real screenshot references for it quite yet.

As for the type of piece that is required I am going to leave that up to the participants. Any and all visual mediums are accepted in this contest. It can be a portrait, a versus piece (TA vs one or more of the SS), A piece where the SS are wreaking havoc on the innocents, whatever. Originally I was going to make it portrait only though since then I received quite a few requests to leave it open. This way it's left up to the artists interpretation overall which is always a great thing

Here is an exert that pertains to 4 of the new villains:

"Great battles were waged by The Apprentice in Thor's name. The 3 headed Goliath was a formidable foe. The dragon of the 7th gulch tested his powers and limits of his regeneration. The Underlord gave him quite a scare in the mountains of the abyss. Though his greatest test was when he encountered the Lioness of the deep in the realm of the nothing. The fight went on for days and his only saving grace was Lokies words encouraging him to continue. On his return the Gods would raise in celebration and hail Thor as the great God. Leaving The Apprentice to tend to his wounds and regenerate his soul. This was common for his return and the words from Lokie all that time ago started to have merit. "



Duration:

JUNE 1st through JULY 5th (That would be 26 days from this posting)



Process:

On midnight of the 5th of July, I will open up voting to a select choice of judges. Voting will end Thursday 8th of July and award granted to the winner.



The rules:

-To enter the contest please submit your art to this journal or send me a note
-Enter as many times as you like.
-Cut off date for entries is Monday July 5th (just over a month from this posting)
-Visual fan art only please
-Collaborations are accepted. (The prize will be up to the artists to divide amongst them if they were to win)
-You may rework the pieces as much as you would like during the intake phase. Though after the cut off date (July 5th), no reworking will be accepted.
- you may promote your work as much as you'd like.

The small print:
common practices concerning fan art apply to every piece entered in the contest. You agree to permit me to post the art on my DA account and/or print for my personal use. I agree to not use the pieces in any manner concerning profit without discussing it with the artist and coming to that agreement first

HIIIIIII TA!!! I'd join your contest, except my artz doesn't quite fit what you are looking for. But I sure do hope that lots of people join it!
