When you start it (second screen on the updater,) check to put it in "safe mode." Once in safe mode, set your resolution (it should say "desktop" next to it) and restart the game normally. See if that helps.
Just tried it, it get's to the little loading bit which goes across the screen, then the screen goes back to the crappy resolution, then all the colours go funny, then it closes and says that it doesn't support this multitexture thing?

Head into the tech issues and bugs section. They'll have a link to COH Helper, which will give some system information. Post there and let them see what's going on.
Hey guys, I haven't played city of heroes for quite a while now.
Looking to get back into at and as I go to load it, it changes the screen resolution from 1366 by 768 pixels to some other thing and then it says my laptop doesn't support whatever it is. The thing is I used to play it perfectly fine on this laptop when I used to play it, and now it won't let me load it, help?
