SS/Inv vs. SS/WP

I have read the threads and spent hours on mids but I really don't understand the differences between these two as far as survivability. I have yet to see a WP build with capped defenses and with the Inv def capped and higher resists, granted has lower regen, but it has the heal. just seems like Inv would be superior. I'm focused more towards a tankabrute. And I always have loved defense. here are my two builds. if someone could enlighten me on what really would survive better it would be much appreciated.

capped defense will be there when i get in big mobs which is what I was focusing on.

Invul will be the tougher build. My Invul and WP build are both IO'ed out. My WP build is as tuff and my Invul only when he running the SoW. Wp is easier to level and has some nicer End regen. With WP you can run Hasten and Rage easy with super strength if you take the fitness pool. If you dont go with SS then you can skip the Fitness pool and pick up some other powers. I like my DM/WP for that reason.

Its tuff on an invul/ss build to run hasten and rage, like you have it.

In end Invul better striaght up "tanker", Wp more verstile.
