Kickin' around an RP static team idea

I'm sorry I missed the event. I made a character earlier today to join, but was unable to make it tonight due to a scheduling conflict. I hope I can join next week. What level are you guys? I can try to level up the character to get a little closer, but I don't want to level too much.

Let me know if this would work. His signature power shouldn't actually come up much except as an RP event.

Character: Precognitive

Walther was born in a middle class home. He didn't learn to speak until the age of six, and he was diagnosed as being autistic. He did poorly at school, and didn't seem to like playing with other children. In fact, he disliked large crowds of any kind.

His fear of crowds was pretty simple. In a very abstract way he could sense people's thoughts and the possibilities that might come to them in the future. The more people who surrounded him, the more cluttered his mind became. When he tried to make his parents understand what he was seeing, they sent him to a doctor, who said that he was schizoaffective. They medicated him heavily, but it didn't seem to help. After awhile, he stopped trying to tell them what he was seeing. He never knew when he saw a thing, if he was watching something in the future, in the past, or in the present. Worse, he didn't even know if they were times which would ever come to pass at all. It took him years to begin to sort it all out. He slowly taught himself not to even try to look at the possibilities which existed for others. In time he began to realize his own psychokinetic abilities, allowing him to slow the momentum of objects.

One day, a man approached him from an R&D Agency. They said that they helped troubled children, and wanted to enroll him in a special school. He showed up to interview Walther.

As the man interviewed Walther, Walther was flooded with images from different times. The man seemed to have existed in many timeframes and that causes his senses to go haywire. He saw the man in some possible future, introducing Walther to what he called the Council. There, he was supposed to help them rebuild their empire. He saw many thousands of people dying as they started a new war, using his visions to tell them where and when they need to strike next. In his vision, they called him a "precognitive."

Then he looked at his parents, and he realized that they had already decided to send him away. They couldn't afford his medication any more.

The man stood up, and he could tell that he wanted to take him on a drive, a drive from which he might not back home. He stared at him, and said "Would you really like to see the future?"

The man stared at him, and Walther open up the man's mind, filling his head with visions. He passed out on the floor. His parents thought the man was having a seizure and sent Walther to his room. He then simply opened a window, and left. He never went back.

That's a very nice and well detailed bio, Mortus. I like it, and the character concept alot!

Uhm, I'm just wondering though, what is his "celestial" connection? From reading his bio, it says he's a mutant, which is fine for this group, but where did his mutant powers come from? For example, 2 of our team members are aliens, hence their celestial connection. One of our members had a near death experience and was given powers by God, hence that celestial connection. My character, probably the most flimsy celestial connection of all, was chosen by a group of aliens and given a suit made with alien technology which gives him super powers, but only when wearing the suit. So if you could tie in some sort of "higher power" type deal in that bio, he'd be a perfect fit.

As for lvl, we are lvl 20, but no worries about that. We can all turn off our xp and run lvl 20 missions until you catch up.

also, Phil, can you update the first post with our current roster status? that way it's easy for people to stay informed about the team composition.

if you want to make the call for new members, we could really use a tank.

@Nico - You can re-roll if you like. I'm more about people enjoying what they're playing, as opposed to playing something the team might need.

@Tram - Skyrider is memorable. It's just we haven't seen you in a couple weeks, and well, to me it felt like the team was losing steam. I'll add you to the roster again now.

Must be available on Wed nights, 8pm EST - 10pm EST We are all (mostly) currently lvl 20. The only requirements for this team are: That you be of the modern aged superhero theme, have a secret identity in your character's bio, have a very "superhero-ey" costume and have some sort of celestial connection regarding your powers and/or purpose for being a superhero.

ok. as we were playing i just felt like Uni was a little... off... to what i was envisioning. i thought i wanted to maximize damage with him, but now i feel like i want him to be more durable and be able to stand on the front lines, holding down the baddies so the team can do what it does.

ok, i just wanted to check so i didn't leave the team hurting for more damage. ok, so if it's cool i'm gonna re-role him as a Tanker.

so we'll have that covered, so when advertising for new people, push for damage. =)

Trying to decide if I have time for 3 static teams in my life. I know my brother might be interested in this, I'll mention it to him. He did have fun with you guys yesterday in Gold Corps. ((He was the "Percy-clone"))

I only have time for two , this one and another on Saturday .
