I've recently discovered the joy of a Traps/ Defender and I would like you guys to please critique my build. Any suggestions, opinions are gladly accepted. Also as far as ancillary power I really didn't know which to choose so if there's something better then Psychic Mastery please let me know and why. Thanks guys!

WAIT!? Defender Trip Mine takes PBAoE sets?

And I say, you should get Triage Beacon.

Don't be too sure you can put PBAoE sets in Defender Trip Mine for too long. Castle will either change it to Targeted AoE or others to be PBAoE.

I thought about taking Triage Beacon, what power would you suggest that I skip to replace it? World of Confusion?

Do you really have the spare money for all those purples and the gladiator's armor 3% defense?

Also, according to mids, all versions of trip mine and time bomb, including the ones in devices, take PBAoE sets.

Yes I already all the IO's that are listed in this proposed build, I'm missing a few of the LotG's but I have enough merits or influence to buy them.

Jebus. Well in that case, I give you this.


83.75% recharge bonus and capped defense to all three positions. This is less recharge bonus than is in your build. Depite this, the attack chain in this build will do more damage due to procs and acid mortar actually comes up faster in this build due to better recharge slotting in the power itself. I moved some power choices around in order to get you a well slotted world of confusion.

Im just curious would you take psychic mastery as your pick Garent?

If it were me, I'd probably do power mastery for power build up and temp invuln. That would give me an extra power pick for triage beacon or another pistol power. Psychic mastery is a close second though, because of its purple options and the potential destruction that contagious confusion can do.
