Heya everyone! Nick here with yet another question(jeez dont ya think hes asked enough right? :P)
Well it's another "firstie" for me, this mastermind stuff, and I really want to pvp with my ds/therm! Here's the catch, im on a low budget and I've been told you can build em cheap for pvp, just gotta knwo what you're doing and my reply to them was, "Well.... the problem with that is I DON'T know what I am doing lol."
So could someone help me out? I dont need the build made FOR me cuz then I wouldn't learn. It would help though. I just basicly need to know what I'll need to build for (i.e. regen defense whatnot).
Anyways, thanks again for all the suggestions!

For PvP, you dont' really need IOs as a mastermind. Some keys are to stay in bodyguard mode most of the time, and don't stop moving when fighting melee. Your bane is anyone with a ton of aoe, or teleport foe. Just have fun, and you should do fine. On a ninja/posion I got so many mad at me in pvp, they started hunting me in teams.

Maybe that's why poeple said it was cheap to build a MM for PvP? I didn't get that part of the convo apearantly. Thanks a bunch :P

Even before bodyguard, masterminds could do well in PvP. Bodyguard came about because of the #1 pvp complaint: that players knew to target the mastermind and ignore pets, thus masterminds died really really easily in pvp to anyone. It use to be that no matter the stance/order of your pets the mastermind took full damage from any hit. In PvE it wasn't a problem, most things focused on the pets usually. In PvP though that broad sword scrapper would specifically run up to you and target just you, not the pets. As did the blaster with a snipe, the stalker you can't see....
