Seriously I was on a team with two of 'em when the set first came out and I honestly had ot say "Um why do you need us on team again?"

Rain of Arrows can be squirrelly in practice, though, because of the way the game handles mob spawn activity. I see this happening regularly with Rikti Monkeys when I do a bit of vulching them in Crey's Folly for progress toward Zookeeper. Basically, a 'fresh' spawn will just stand there, not doing anything. When a player comes within a certain range of the spawn, though, the spawn will 'wake up' and start going through their preset 'idle' actions (wandering around, reading a paper, etc.); this happens while you're still outside aggro range. Because Rain of Arrows is a location AoE, once you drop the target on the ground, mobs can wander out of the beaten zone before the arrows hit, and they'll escape damage altogether. This is even more of a problem trying to use Rain of Arrows in the middle of a fight if you don't have a Tanker or Scrapper working to hold the mobs in one spot, but that's part of the tradeoff of a nuke; its use is sort of situational. That said, toe-bombing Rain of Arrows during a Rikti Raid or Zombie Invasion works quite well.

I've played Fire/, AR/ and Arch/ blasters. Inferno is my favorite nuke, but that is simply because I love jumping in, nearly defenseless, and setting everything on fire. Nope, I am defenseless, I never turned my toggles back on after the last nuke. Oh well, that's why there are Emps! (No, I didn't call them "Healers", put the stones down...)

On my AR/ blaster, my mailman, Full Auto is much fun. It gives you that "Rambo" feel while playing the game. I found myself turning the camera during the attack to check out my kick-*** 50+ year old mailman unleashing years of postal fury on an unsuspecting group of bad guys.

Rain of Arrows on my archery toon spawned four differnt players from my SG to roll archers. Simply put, it does plenty of damage. My SG mate that got his to 50 first and I teamed with another SGer scrapper on a few task forces together. Alternating RoAs, she never got a chance to Scrap. In addition, if someone needs some Vanguard Merits, I take my Archer on the ship raid. If lag is co-opperating, dropping a Rain on various Rikti Mobs all over the ship rakes in the merits.

When it comes to the nuke, I know Ill never take an end crash nuke on a defender, I'm there for buff/debuff. As a blaster, it comes down to wether I want to blap. On a brand new Nrg/Nrg blaster now, building it to blap. I will nuke, I will send the baddies flying...

That is, if the Shield/Elec scrap doesnt get them first.
