What operating system are you using? If vista or win7, are you running CHV as administrator?
EDIT: Also, have you attempted to start the game using its Safe Mode? Just check the box before hitting next.

I am using Windows Xp prof with Service Pack 2.
And yes i have attempted to start the game using its Safe Mode but there was no difference at all.

I know, i'm necroing a thread, but... how did this problem get resolved? Because I'm seeing it now with the release of the new issue... not a problem that came up during beta, btw. Not that I noticed, anyway.

My english isn't the best so I'm sorry about any mistakes.
I got problem after downloading issue 17.
During applying new files the info window pop up and says:
"Error opening file c:\programfiles\COH\tempfile
you may be out of disk space or trying to install to a location where you have insufficient permissions."
after clicking "ok" updater continued applying the files and after that I run the game and it was ok. When game loaded a window pop up. I had to choose to set ultra mode or not and I choose ultra mode. Then I wanted to log in but I couldn't so I exit the game. After some time I wanted to check if I can log in so I started the updater-> next->i agree etc. when updater closed a "loading" showed in my desktop and thats all! The game won't go any further I reinstalled it on the same disc after complete delete and the problem still is. I'm now installing it on other disc.
Can you help me a tell what is going on ?
