disappearing or flickering cursor problem

all was well with the game yesterday morning then yesterday afternoon my cursor starts flickering when moving (and sometimes tracing a box around it) and when you stop moving it disappears.

i logged a help request and they told me to use windowed mode but it functioned the same that way.

i have a widescreen monitor, 1920X1080 and it works if i select the lower resolutions....but things look distorted with wrong aspect ratio.

I found on a closed post where someone said "Try going to the Options-Graphics settings, under the Advanced settings part, and set your mouse to Compatible instead of color and see if that clears that one up. " but that option isnt listed.

i have "verified all files"

The only solution I came up with was to change the resolution to a slightly less wide resolution. For some reason the cursor just HATES that resolution.
