Chance for resistance debuff proc's

I'm working on a Radiation emission/Electrical blast build, and I'm considering whether or not it's worth stacking the chance for resistance debuff proc's with Enervating field. I'm definitely putting Achilles Heel in Radiation Infection, and I'm considering making the sixth slot in Short Circuit the Fury of the Gladiator: Chance for Resistance debuff.

Has anyone here tried this kind of slotting, if so - did you find the resistance debuffs triggering often enough to make it worthwhile?

The Achilles' Heel proc in RI is definitely worth it, but the Fury proc in Short Circuit is probably too expensive (and SC takes too long to recharge) to make it worthwhile.

That's pretty debatable, honestly. The AH proc only checks once every 10 seconds to every target within the area when used in a toggle. That's .4% -res on average, and there's no way to tell whether it's active or not, so you can't focus on targets that are affected compared to others in order to leverage .

What hurts SC more than the long recharge (20 secs, which can be taken down to 6-8 seconds with relative ease) is the fact that it has a painfully long animation time (3.168 seconds Arcanatime). Either way, if you think that the AH proc in RI is awesome, you're actually going to be getting just as much, if not more, -res from putting the Fury proc into SC because you're likely to get SC cycling faster than once every 10 seconds, which is where the two of the powers would break even.

Keep in mind, however, that the Fury and AH procs actually stack with each other (but not with themselves).

Generally speaking, -res procs are only good against bosses and higher, so they're best put into single target attacks. They aren't useless in area powers, but depending on your build it's probably not worth the slot.

I actually thought the Achilles was nice in Rad Infection at 50, since you always have that toggle running on AVs (an important, if not the most important part of end game content) and you can cap everything in RI with three Enzyme HOs, leaving space for a fourth Achilles slot. Any -resist debuffing you can scrape up tends to help fighting AVs and GMs, since they don't generally resist that debuff.

In fact, other little known thing about the Achilles proc, its not affected by the Purple Patch (i.e. not reduced for highier con foes, like the +4 AVs in the STF) because it causes the target to generate the effect on itself.
