I don't thin it's not impossible for ncsoft to allow more slots on a given server, but at the moment it's staying at 30.
Maybe they'll increase it after GR is released, however in the meantime, I've transferred all my part-time heroes/villains to Union.
Maybe we should start a petition to get them to increase the character slots in time for GR!

Thanks for the link back to my thread in the 'Suggestions' area of the forum Mereman.
If enough of us post there saying we want the cap on the maximum number of character slots increased then hopefully the Dev's will pay attention to our demands, especially since NC Soft will be able to make money from it if we have the option to purchase more toon slots.
I agree that all players will need the ability to:
1. Purchase new slots above the current maximum
2. Be provided with new slots as part of GR
Without this, players would be forced to use other servers outside of where they normally play, and potentially away from players they normally team with.
Clearly limiting the number of purchaseable slots is a means of forcing some players to have multiple accounts, and therefore increasing revenue to NCSoft. But this is also something that may drive some players away from the game as funding multiple accounts is not possible for many.
Tbh it would be a bad move for new slots not to be made available, and I'm sure this has been looked by the powers that be (or at least I would hope so).
And whilst they are about it, SG size increases please. Having to create mutiple SG's just so players can have most of alt's under one SG banner isn't the way it should be. I still haven't seen a valid reason for SG sizes to be so limited as they are. Lets make it 500 at least

With this in mind does any one know why we are limited to the 30-odd slots on any one server? Are there any plans to up the limit of slots per server? Where has my hair gone?
With the approach of GR I too want to have some slots reserved for it but as I am full on Defiant..... cannot decide who to delete or move to (whispers) union.
