This is how I'd tweak your current build.
First of all, replace the Impervium Psi resist and the resist IO in Fire Shield with the Steadfast -kb and the Steadfast +res/+def unique. All you'd be loosing by doing this is the 2.75% mez resist, but gaining +3 defense and resist to everything else. (The Psi resist would stay the same, but you'd gain the 3% to the psi defense as well.)
Secondly I'd take the end redux IO in Plasma and replace it with the Reactive Armor triple. It's not as much end redux, but it gives you the bonus 1.25% defense to s/l.
Thirdly I'd take the slot in Weave that's currently being used for the Karma -kb that's now covered in Fire Shield and move it into Tough were I'd 4 slot a set of Reactive Armors, again giving you an additional 1.25% defense to s/l.
Fourthly, You've way over slotted Haymaker for damage, smacking hard against the ED cap. I'd just make it a full set of ToD if you can, getting a few nice set bonuses and not loosing much in the way of damage. If the damage proc hits you'll actually be doing more damage.
Finally I'd probably take you're 5th slot in Plasma Shield along with one of the slots in Fire blast and fill out Rage with a full set of Gaussian's. 2.5% defense across the board plus a 2.5% damage boost as well.
I suspect there would be other tweaks/changes I'd make, but that should give you something to think about.

I'd also move your Numina Regen/Recovery from Healing Flames to Health, with its corresponding slot. The 4 slot bonus for Numina does nothing for you, and the Heal/Recharge that's now in Health would do more good in Healing Flames than there.
See if you can replace some of your Crushing Impacts and Touch of Deaths with Smashing Haymaker (relatively cheap) or Kinetic Combat (way overpriced), depending on budget.
Stamina is overslotted, and your last two bonuses from the set you have there (2.5 damage and 5 recharge) aren't doing a whole lot for you. I'd move that whole set to Consume, move four of your Performance shifters to Stamina (including the chance for endurance --- the way you have it slotted now it can only fire when you use Consume, but in Stamina it has a chance to fire every 10 seconds), sell the other two, and find something else to do with those slots. Healing Flames, Health, and Tough are all worthy candidates.
I'd move the slot with Karma -KB to Combat Jumping, which will get you the benefit earlier.

I agree, the last build you posted is better. However, I do have a few issues with it.
You don't have enough single-target attacks to make a decent attack chain, so you're going to be spending a bit of time standing around, waiting for the next attack... Except for the ones you've picked up from your APP, which partly make up for it, but you're SOL if you ever exemplar.
You have Hasten, but nothing in your Primary or Secondary benefits much from Haste - except your slightly gimped attack-chain.
Lastly, despite the sacrifices you've made to IO Set Defense Bonuses, you still don't have 'any' Defense.
So, I took your build, re-prioritized slightly, and came up with two builds.
The first one is built to emphasize Defense - It's still nowhere near Capped, but it isn't bad.

Overwhelming Accuracy, so you just never miss. Gobs of Regeneration, so it just doesn't matter if they hit you - you can heal it back. And lots of built-in Recharge that you don't have to think about.

That's silly. Part of "farming" (optimized volume killing for rewards) is to pick enemies who do NOT beat you within an inch of your life and use up all your resources. If you just barely survive each encounter, you won't be moving fast and you won't be ready for the next fight immediately. Therefore, challenges exist in the game which are much more difficult and dangerous than farming.
Dedicated farmer characters need to be just tough enough not to be defeated by their chosen prey, and the rest of their build should be dedicated to defeating foes as rapidly as can be sustained over the long haul (usually with AoE attacks).
I don't care if people want to farm, but it's weird when they act like it's the ultimate challenge. Farming is a routine activity (assuming you're doing it right) that most people do in order to acquire high-end items so they can do the tougher, non-farming content more easily/successfully.

i like to farm, and like powerlevel, it entertains me since getting a char to 1-50 doesnt anymore.. i just like to make influence, seeing that money and spending it on myself, or give it to the SG Events or just SG MEmbers.. i like to be helpful, but i just like to finish mishs quick and do it good. thank for your guys help, and i need hasten, For each char i make i always pick Hasten, and the Fitness Classes.. i find that Rise of the Phoenix is useless cuz Wakie + Depsite + Consume + Healing Flames, if i had a green inspiration i would use it b4 consume... i=

My tank is a Level 50 Fire Shield / Super Strength Tanker, with the Fire Mastery Epic Pool Power set. ATM i have several sets on him, but i can do so much better for him.
