Rooms added for winter contest, LoC Guardian

o,o ello!

didn't want to post these till the contest was over and the winter event ended (just in case), but now that it has..

Below are some pics of the 2 rooms I set up for my entry into the contest. The first was an admittedly awful attempt at a snowie front lawn, with the second room being a house for the sg to crowd around in, have some coco, and nap about the fireplace.

><;; construction took an insane amount of time, and I'm fairly sure I have 0 chance in the contest as I just couldn't get it to meet the theme (what with nothing remotely wintry in the editor, much less festive), but the end results are certainly a room I'll be keeping ^^

In order from right side of the house, making a circle to the left side and finally returning to the foyer:

Front Lawn:
A snowy front lawn (very very dirty snow...) with a frozen over lake. Plants are mostly under the snow but the pathway and small have been shoveled.

Entrance/Foyer:
The entrance to the house with path lighting. Please leave you shoes and boots here to dry! A small walkway above the door allows access to the mid floor windows.

Living Room:
A silly place indeed. A gathering place for the SG to nap by the fireplace, play a boardgame, have a snack, read, listen to music (hidden speakers, really.. yeah.. player/controls found in the nook) or just hang out while staring out the window.

Breakfast Nook/Bar area
Attached to the Living Room, this area features a place to quickly grab a bite to eat, adjust the sound system, or just hang out on the sides of whatever is going on in the main room.

Basement (entrance behind bar)
With entrance behind the bar in the Breakfast Nook, the basement is where all the household random junk and much of the storage is kept.

Pantry
Need some canned food? perhaps some cereal or china/silverware? This is the place to find it. The Pantry is across from the kitchen, but also features a window into the Living Room with a shared counter to allow easy access.

Loft 1
Located above the pantry, this is a small bedroom for 1 with a low ceiling (8.5ft) compared to most of the other rooms

Kitchen
Counter space galore, 3 sinks, and room for appliances to be swapped in, if City Hall ever allows their sale in Paragon City.

The proper eating spot, possibly even used occasionally rather than the nook or another random table.

Back Hall/Closets
Hallway allowing access between the two halves of the house by connecting the small hallway next to the plantroom to the dinning room. Also features 2 closets and the steps up to the second loft.

Loft 02

Plant room
A pleasant room with the household plants. Chairs to recline in, spots to put your feet up, hopefully a bit more relaxed than whatever silliness is going on in the living room.

Bathroom
Yes, the bathroom... sink, cabinets, place to wash your teeth.. sadly, that odd garish toilet from the last home owners is still here. Someday we'll get around to replacing it with a normal one. The first floor bathroom is actually located under the steps to the second floor and features an all mahogany interior.

Study
Call it a study, or library, den.. or even the home office. This is a place for books, quiet, and sadly paperwork. Also with the traditional safe in the bookshelf that has who knows what in it, and the largely no-longer-accurate world globe.

TV Room
A dark room where ppl can watch tv or movies on the overly large Plasma TV. Currently, they seem to be viewing a police/forensics show.

Bonus:
The Bobble Room. This outside area was a testbed for one of the suggested entry ideas that was given to me. Sadly, it was done so on the day before the submissions where due, so I didn't get it done or the idea added to the project.

@.@ oooppss.. got all the links up now. Sorry bout the wait for anyone curious.. I apparently didn't take any shots of the second loft or the dinning room, so I'll grab them later.

>< had a lot of problems setting photobucket to actually allow ppl to view the folders, but it should let ppl now (which worries me about my submission since it included a link with more shots... opps..)

If anyone can suggest a good video maker for grabbing run throughs and then turning them into something for youtube, it would be greatly appreciated.

o.o does look like it could turn out nice though doesn't it? Once I hear back from the judges and know I'm out of the running, those little bobbles will probably be integrated into the lawn area.

<.< someday I'll probably come into the base and find ppl trying to stand on them. It isn't as easy as you'd think.
