Some of the best ways to get to know people are while you're out there fighting (or causing) crime!
There are plenty of channels out there, but by and large they are private. Check the boards for listings on how to contact their mods and what their policies are regarding usage. Events and happenings (PERC and non-PERC) will be in the MOTD for Freedom Events, which is an open and public channel.
