Enhancement Re-positioning/Transfer Client Crashes

I've been having problems with client crashes while moving around enhancements to/from base enhancement storage and my enhancement tray and to/from the ww/bm market window to my enhancement tray.

I tend to keep my enhancement in some kind of orderly fashion in my enhancement tray, so as I'm moving stuff I'm often repositioning them into an order that seems to make sense to me - at least at the time.

This isn't constantly happening, but it seems to be increasing.

No lie - I jump characters like crazy! And that very well have something to do with it.

I haven't even traded much on the dark side...I mean villain side... much lately. I'm pretty sure it was the second character I logged in last night - first on the villain side - went to the BM - Triumph - Cap Au Diable - and client crashed while interfacing with the BM. I had moved enhancements to and from and was rearranging my tray when the lock up happened. At least I think it happened first there. I started listing my global handle on the client crash reports so I can be contacted about this.

I think it started when power customization came out or around that time. It has been increasing, but with all the character logging I have been doing for the Winter Event badges it may be related to all the various characters interfacing with Wentworths.

As it should be clearly known by now, if you access WW with one character, log out, log in with another character, and access WW - the first characters listings will appear in WW window - when it finally opens.
I usually flush that by dropping something onto the WW window which causes it to change to character 2's WW postings.

I understand that this may be an issue with me trying to move enhancements around in my tray too quickly while it is still trying to sync with WW or base storage, but there is no indicator to show me when the two are in-sync and ready for me to continue.

Possibly a ready-light of some sort?
Standard Red for Processing/don't do anything, Yellow for Try me if you dare, and Green for system is ready for you to proceed?

The man behind the scenes pulling the strings is good for immersion, but client crashes ruins the mood much quicker than being reminded that even virtual stocking takes time.

Sounds as if you're not receiving data that you need on the new character in a timely fashion.

CoHHelper report would be good. Also, how do you connect to Internet (DSL/cable/sat/dialup) and who is your provider?

Thanks for the suggestions.

From my discussions, everyone has problems with data being sent in a timely fashion from the auction house when the initial connection occurs from all the conversations I've had with other players.
My connection is not going to cause the previous characters posts on the market to show up when the next character goes to the market.
It's a matter of the wrong data being sent from the auction servers or relying on auction posting information that is stored on my computer in some temp file before confirming it's accuracy with what the auction computers are showing.
This has been on going since the market was released.
I brought this up as it may be part of the issue that is causing the client crash when moving enhancements around.

The enhancement movement problem wasn't happening before the major update for i16 or the next large one after that.
We can try to lay blame on the enhancement movement issues on my connection speed, but I had the same connection before the changes were made when that update occurred that apparently has caused the issue.

The problem is, not everyone using the current build is able to duplicate your issue. So there have to be several causes that add up to a crash. Client build is only one factor. Delayed data (so delayed that the client falls back on a cache or outright gives up) is something else you've noticed.

In my experience, delayed data is due to latency OR lack of system resources - either you never get the info, or you've no place to store it when you get it.

As for why you'd only notice an issue now - as the amount of data over a connection approaches the connection limit, problems related to data loss or latency will suddenly occur ... and then vanish when the data flow tapers off.

Think of it as a garden hose. Turn it on full blast, and you start to notice water leaks at the connection points (faucet, sprinkler, etc.) If you put more pressure into the hose, or kink it, the leaks get worse, and sometimes a weak hose coupling will break and the hose catastrophically fails. But if you turn down the water flow JUST enough so the pressure is less... the leaks go away and you're much less likely to notice a kink in the hose. Is the problem with the hose? or the amount of water you have to force through it?
