Alright, so I made a sonic/em blaster for PvP. Yes this is my first true pvp'er, seems to be fun. Besides me always getting pwn, I know blaster are tuff when you get hit by like 2-3 stalkers. But I was woundering if someone could get me a build for a sonic/em blaster. I prefer dmg bonus and recharge. I really havnt got a nice build and also I have 1bill influence to play around with for him. So let me know please, Thanks all!

This is a build I had saved when I was thinking about rolling one of these (Went Psi in the end)

Capped HP, 65% global recharge (I never get much more than 70 with DR) 32% global damage before Defiance/Aim/BU. Mag 44 KB and enough Regen that if you Kite a shark spamming stalker they won't make much if any progress on you.

Liberty, on that build do you have screech in there as a set mule or do you actually use it? I am wondering if it would be any good to use boost range and screech in tandem

Nice build, but one thing im worried about it is. Will I be able to get all that for 1 billion Influence? Thats about as much as im working with. It takes forever to earn the influence the right way, unlike people who buy it. Thanks for your help.

Boost range goes on Auto so you only need Aim/BU to start your spike. On my Sonic's I lead off with screech for a few reasons.

First toggle drops, hurricane, snow storm, rad toggles, etc etc...
It lets you close in on the target, even if for a few seconds so you can get more attacks off with them in range. And finally it has the longest -res duration at 12 seconds so you'll get more -res to stack that way.

As for the build price, Sadly you won't be able to pull it off for a billion. If you leave out the apoc's and PvP IO's you should be able to pull it off I think for about that price. Just replace them with cheaper sets until you can afford them.

For the Gladiators Javelin's just stick some Thunder strikes in there. For the Apoc's either a set of devastation or decimation will do. You can probably still afford the stun set. The two Hecatomb's in TF I'd probably toss a Touch of Death Proc and an Acc/DMG Hami-O or just an acc/dmg IO.

Well do, thanks for the info. I really appreciate it!

You do know when you get attacked by 2-3 stalkers, you are supposed to lose, right? Wasn't really sure about that from the OP.

The build is fine.

But in most pvp scenarios, it just won't be viable enough to stick. Even with the survivability, you are going to be running you're end into the ground without the help of the plentiful therms and elec toons.

You REALLY want to avoid Total Focus if you want to try to zone pvp, Shout + TF is a big "AS ME PLZ" Sticker. With the current build, I would suggest dropping it for conserve power, seeing as how it looks like you sorely need the end help.

The build will run you for a good 3.5-4.5 bil.

Switch Shriek and scream slottings, shriek is used most, so it deserves the most procs.

The build is horrible in this aspect. Screech is insanely useful, not having power boost in this build is comparable to not having it on a earth/energy dom. However redundant you think it is, a near-6 second stun coming from a blaster, is in most cases, 3-500 bonus points before most can react. Drop assualt, get man. slot a karma in it, drop veng, get PB.

Also, a thing, Power Boost is a pvp utility of life, it boosts many things besides mez's, it boosts run speed, which in zones, is nearly invaluable. It boosts ToHit, and using only tactics, its comparable to having a kismet slotted every time you hit it.

All the recovery bonuses in the world won't help you against an elec therm... As for running your end to the ground, not sure how? My Psi/Em actually gets away with less recovery and more expensive attacks.

Using total focus in Zones isn't always the best idea, there are times to use it and times when you just don't. I do love the delayed burst damage though it brings, I've got a good many toons going into phase or hibernate with it especially with the two procs going off. If there are good stalkers around I'll stay at range, but if you use it in the right situations it'll definitely net you a lot more kills than deaths.

Agree with you there, definitely had them backwards.

I should have taken a bit of a closer look at the build I posted, like I said I made up this build up a few months ago when I was trying to decide on a Psi/EM or Sonic/EM and ended up dropping assault on that build as well.

Definitely drop assault for Maneuvers, drop vengeance for power boost. You'll get more mileage out of PB than you will 11% extra damage.
