Any feedback on Elec/Elec scrapper?
Well, I've got one at 40 right now. Granted, he is my first scrapper past 25, so the impressions you'll get from me are from a different viewpoint.
I'm having a good time with him. He is fairly survivable, though it can get hairy when my heal is not up (energize).
I think my single-target damage is lacking: the first two attacks don't have much punch. Jacob's Ladder does some respectable damage and it's a cone, but the big smasher doesn't come until thunder strike. Chain Induction's damage is not so high, but it's a cool "different" attack.
The set is pretty good at dealing with numbers. Lightning rod, jacob's ladder, thunder strike and chain induction all damage multiple targets. There's the niche for the primary: low ST, good crowd damaging abilities.
The armor is lots of resist with a heal. Nothing fancy. The final power is a pretty standard invincibility with a killer drop at the end (all your health along with your end). It's got a power sink ability in it, which will solve all your endurance problems in the late game. I appreciated Lightning Reflexes for some +recharge. And there is a damage aura -- I skipped it, but that could add to your AoE potential.
I'll say this about the melee set too: I found the animation times to be pretty quick, with one or two exceptions.
I still have to see what the 40s have in store for me. Havent chosen an epic pool yet.
KABOOM!
The AoE damage is pretty decent, but Electric Melee doesn't really begin to shine until you get Lightning Rod, which is a game changer for the set, and one of the most fun powers in the game as far as I'm concerned.
Until then though, the set will probably feel slow, or even sluggish. Two of the main attacks, Jacob's Ladder and Thunder Strike, have pretty significant animation times, and these are the two hardest hitting attacks in the set (Thunder Strike is really the worst, although I can't count the number of times I've used Jacob's Ladder and watched my target die during the long animation time).
Chain Induction is also a really strange attack that needs to be used with a little thought. I've found that opening a pull with Lightning Rod, which is what my instincts tell me to do, makes Chain Induction mostly useless. However, Chain Induction works well on pulls when Lightning Rod isn't available. If you use it at the start, there's a good chance there will be enough targets around for it to chain at least a few times.
The single target damage is pretty poor, owing a lot to the fact that Thunder Strike is too slow to even consider using in a single target situation, and the fact that the other early attacks only deal moderate, rather than high damage.
That said, the AoE damage overall between all the abilities you get is really high, and the set does shine when facing large groups, when you get to see dozens of numbers pop up whenever you fire off an attack.
Electric Melee is definitely a flawed set, but I've enjoyed playing it overall.
I can't comment on Electric Armor sadly, since my Electric Melee scrapper is /regen.

I couldnt find any threads on elec/elec scrapper and was wondering if anyone has rolled one and what your impressions are.
I've seen a lot on Elec/Sheilds but not elec/elec.
thanks
