You would be better off posting this in the tech forums, but my first guess is that you have a firewall issue - did you change operating systems from Windows XP to Vista, for example?
I doubt the issue is in CoH. It is more likely that either your OS or anti-virus needs to be opened to allow the updater, etc, to come thru (very non-techy statement, not a real tech person).

old computer crashed. but luckilly had a warrently. new everything later, I installed COH on the computer, downloaded the issue updates from the site.
but when i load a toon and try to zone in it just goes insanely slow and times out (locked comp up).
I think this happened to me a few years ago and i fixed it somehow, but can't remember how. is there a patch or something? or a setting i need to change? please help!
