Are the PvP mechanics in the Arena different from the Zones?
Only difference from zone right now is you can turn off all the bs like travel supressiona and heal decay on arena. Not to totally spoil the mood but gl finding good ppl to fight after aion/CO comes out. Oh and btw you are not bugged when you get attacked in zone and get slowed and your regen gets down. It is called travel supression :/

Yeah, you get the option to disable two (three if you want) of the more idiotic changes from I13, notably travel suppression and heal decay. There's the option to disable diminishing returns if you want but that's usually a bad idea since it means most squishies will have capped resistance to everything (40% base resistance plus another 35-40% from epic/patron shield). Other than that, arena and zones are mechanically identical.
I haven't PvPed in the open zones since I've returned to the game, and when I did PvP it was back in i9 or i10 I think. I have tried the arena recently though, so I was wondering if the mechanics of the game are the same in both PvP and the arena. I am going to try out zone PvP this weekend to see how much it has changed. It will be with my fire/kin corruptor, she was A TON OF FUN in PvP.

"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."

Thanks for the info!
I have inertial reduction because it could not be suppressed after attacking, I hope they did not touch it!

Right now, that can work one of two ways:

1. You have travel suppression enabled in the arena, in which case you'll be hit with 2 seconds of travel suppression each time you're attacked, and IR does not allow you to get around that (nothing does).
2. You have travel suppression turned off in the arena, in which case you will stay at full movement speed regardless of what powers you use or are hit with (you're still rooted on activations but not suppressed afterwards). If you have Super Jump, you don't need IR because SJ won't suppress.
In short, a Kin is largely a wasted spot on a team lineup these days, regardless of how the travel suppression rules are set up.
