Very nice...

But you can do better. Don't get me wrong, I really like it... There's just a couple minor things I don't particularly like but they may work better in others eyes...

To me the flat lime green background is a bit much. I'm guessing you wanted something flat and bright to make the character really stand out? But almost neon is just too much for me.

I also think there should be _some_ shading and/or highlights in the hair and cape. The flat black, to me, makes it look a tad unfinished.

But past those minor details, I very much like... I probably wouldn't even be nitpicking the above excepted I peeked into your gallery and comparing Fro to Star Bright I can't help but think Fro got a little less attention to detail... (Star Bright is great btw... As are your sketches.)

I have to say i prefer your non color works. Just so much more detail and style in those.

The neon green didn't bother me before, but now it's all I can think of... just kidding, I think he's got a great smile, and it really brings out the character's bravado. Also, not fair to compare himself with himself... lol.

Thanks for the criticism , I always take peoples views as constructive and yup your right about unfinished Star-Bright was my creation but I didn't colour it and as you can see from my gallery I don't colour in general. this was a first for me and its a learning curve that I hope to improve

Oh, Fro is not my character either (better put that one in)

Edit; Toned down the green

Well in that case, please downgrade my comments from slight criticisms to things to think of in the future. I was grading you against a tough curve since star Bright is really well done. Besides what I mentioned, I do really like Fro though. I like the highlighting on the body and gloves which still makes me think you could do the cape and hair a bit more detailed...

Temp EU, I think you did great on your first time coloring for us. Regardless of what others may say to you, either positive or negative, don't give up and keep showing us your artz.

We have seen many artists start off as so-so and then bloom into these really awesome artists! So as you continue to work with color, you will get better and better. And keep trying out the new stuff, you just may find that your talents are by far greater than you could have ever possibly imagine.

You will also find that the artists in this forum are very knowledgeable, so look to them for guidance if you feel that you get to a point where you need some. And like I have said to many others here, keep your artz coming!
