Dual Blades works on the combo system, so missing can be annoying. With that said, getting a low-level kismet 6% to-hit would make your life easier. However, kismet is a defense set, so you'd need to slot it in a defense set or a set that usually wants to take combat jumping.
Since you are already taking less-common set, why not make yourself rare and roll a DB/DA toon? You can grab combat jumping and put a kismet in there. Grab a KB IO on the way as well. You might be surprised at its performance, especially with IO sets. You won't be a SR or a WP, but you'll be good.
For that matter, DB/Elec could be very interesting in issue 16 if the powerchange goes through.
Dual Blades isn't exactly the ideal mitigation set for a brute. There are other primaries that better increase your survivability. I think you'll be happier if you approach your new brute more offensively than defensively.
Brutes are my favorite AT, and I'm a serious vet. I never ask for help usually, but I need help pairing a secondary with DB/. Yeah, I know about DB, but I have a really good concept that I want to play. I have fun with just about everything.
I have played to higher levels or capped just about every secondary into Brutes, but I'm kind of stumped here. I was thinking maybe /INV, most for the ToHit buff from Invincibility to help out with the lethal damage resists in PvE. But that is the crux, I have two capped /INV already.. I don't know what I want to do here.
Each set has it's pros and cons, and I have always leaned toward non-defense sets. Suggestions, and why?
(I love being beastlike as far as 'tanking' goes, I think the only set I wouldn't pair up with would be /EA)
