I currently have an invul/energy tanker that I would like to use in PvP.

However the build I was using seems epically bad. He couldnt hit anything with defence and couldnt kill a blaster before he died, which is kind of ironic because I chose a tanker for PvP so I had time to worry about damage incoming etc. At the minute I just dont have that option.

Anyone help?

Ive got a respec ready to use, I'm new to invul in pvp, energy side is pretty straight forward.

Resist side I was taking silly amounts of damage for a tank, basically about 7-8 hits dead if i didnt heal.

My 2cent, but I haven't any invu...

Maybe you can start by taking dull pain ^^
It's an huge heal AND it's the HP buff you need too be effective.
Take taunt. A tank without taunt is so...tankless. (don't forget that taunt has a huge -65%range now).

Be a little more coherent in your bonus search.
For example : No need to six slott Mako's bite in Total Focus. The bonus is not that good for you. Maybe 3 mako, 3 ToD to have hp bonus x2, or 5 Crushing impact and one acc/dam. -&gt;(better choice).

I'll take nrj mastery for focused accuracy &amp; laser beam eye (-def is always welcome). I think i'll prefer haste/ss over superjump. No verticality, but no risk to be stuck and haste can really be helpfull for the attack/heal chain.

So go for +hp, +acc, +rech and +rec in your build. (in that that order of priority i'll say). Other bonuses are... just cheese on the cake, or collateral effect of the focused bonus.

Hi there.

One easy method to improve your ToHit is to hunt down the Kismet unique. It is slottable in defense powers and will give you +6% ToHit. Improving global accuracy as well as accuracy slotting in your attacks will also help.

One easy way to get more ToHit and global Accuracy is to pick up Focused Accuracy, as mentioned by the previous poster. This would however mean dropping Earth Mastery, which does have some interesting utility powers.

I notice you don't have Invincibility. I assume that is a conscious design decision though. Personally I've found the defence it grants is helpful in melee fights: against a blaster, it would likely not make any difference though.


As I'm writing this at work, I haven't been able to look over the build in Mids: hence the rather general comments.

Ok taking advice from what was posted above, I came up with the build below. Any issues there?

Went for higher defence on fire and cold and high hp. Endurence cost might be an issue with the travel powers involved though im thinking.

I'll take both dull pain and self-heal, but no jump pool. I saw invul' doing very well with that.
Not going for def bonuses or weave, to be a little lighter on endurance.
