why not request to be made a mod of defiant events?
splitting the source for organisation/communication os not really a good idea. it just forces people to check in two locations and to advertise their event in two locations for fear of not reaching everyone that could be interested....
personally, i think we need an in-game bulletin board for TF/Event organisation and sign ups. channels are fine but too transitory. You find out whats happening when you are online.. not whats happening two days from now when you can actually allocate time to attend and aprticipate.
Seeing as you haven't had any questions yet (as of typing this)I thought, as a user of Defiant Events, I'd ask some.
Why do we really need another, in effect, Defiant Event channel?
Why will this channel be better than Defiant Events?
Why should someone choose this channel over Defiant Events, especially if someone is already at the global channel limit?
How will this channel have better communication between mods?
For that matter, as a mod of Defiant Events yourself, could you not have a word with your fellow mods to improve the lack of communication you perceive?
TBH, although your attempt to get more events going on Defiant is to be commended, we don't really need a clone of an existing channel. I see quite a few TFs/SFs/Trails being arranged throughout the day so I don't really see how this channel will improve the number of them.
This morning i have decided to set up a new channel on Defiant, called "Defiant Co-Operation".
This is a public channel and anyone can join by simply typing /chan_join "Defiant Co-Operation"
The idea is to have this channel used by many to advertise and organise many different things such as, task forces, trails, strike forces, giant monster hunts, badge hunts, costume comps, PVP nights etc.
There are other channels out their already with the same purpose however i do not feel they are as organised as they need to be, that the OP's do not communicate enough and their are not as many events as their could be on a daily/weekly basis.
I'll check back on this topic often to see if anybody has any questions
