new suggestion?

dunno if its new or not, but how about a best costume award
with a badge!

right click -> vote for best costume.
everyone gets maybe three votes per month, with a total and a space on the website for the months winner

what say you

Would end up a popularity contest rather than a costume competition and people would end up abusing it to get the badge like creating loads of alts and voting hundreds of times.

Trusting people to do what they 'should' is rarely wise

how about three votes per global name, instead of three votes per hero/villain

It would probably be too coveted though, anyone with a big SG could get more votes than someone without an SG just by telling people to vote for them. Then you get the badgehunters who would be fighting and crying over a badge that cannot be earned through playing.
The only way they could do this is have an event (Say whenever Paris fashion week is on) and the devs choose the winner.

im not sure people would vote for someone just because they asked. surely a limited number of votes will make people much less likely to vote randomly, or because theyre asked to.
and badgehunters.. well they just need to get out in the fresh air maybe once in a while and see the sun :/

part of me thinks you're right. people will probably abuse this in some way, but i also think that there are ways of preventing it being abused.

it seems like a nice way of keeping the whole game in the present. another event first of every month that will keep it interesting and fresh. who's won best dressed, and possibly worst dressed as well.

I can't find this suggestion agreeable really. There are costume contests aplenty on Hero-side, sadly not as many on Villain-side (;plot). These events are often big social gatherings where people bring their favourite character dressed to the nines and display themselves for the adoration and admiration of others.

I find the contests preferable to the faceless and nameless anonymous click of the suggested method. Besides, the competitions are fun.
