Good question, but I doubt it.
The rewards that have been doubled in the past have been XP/Inf/Prestige. They've never granted two rare recipe rolls on a completed TF, for instance. So I'd guess that the merit awards will be unaffected by the DXP weekend... or at least that will be the intention. They might have screwed up the code.

Yeah, but that's if we're talking TF/Trial rewards. What about arc rewards which seems to be granted with the xp/inf?

I don't think it matters, to be honest.
The code doesn't double enhancement drops, salvage drops, inspiration drops, recipe drops or any rewards except Inf/Pres/XP. I suspect that it's been coded that way, with a "Reward Award Rate" set, and all the server does is apply that rate to those three rewards - typically 100%, but on a DXP, it would be 200%. That way it would be flexible enough to allow them to consciously add other reward types to the increased rate, but would prevent any sort of accidents occuring. Since the merit awards are not a generic level, which XP, Inf and Prestige are, but are specific to each arc, then it is highly unlikely that they will be included in the doubling of rewards.
