installing on Windows Vista 64bit

hi,
A friend of mine has just tried to install CoH on his computer using my disks (just to make sure if it would work for him) and it didn't. At the end of the install this error message popped up

" The setup controller and encountered a problem during install. Please review the log files for further information on the error. "

I cannot find this log file.

Hey, heard of this before, it normally comes from a hiccup of the windows installer and crash/recovery/antivirus software its a frightenly common occurance with installations in Vista.

What to do is this:

1) Use the add/remove programs tool to remove the coh installation.

2) Shutdown and reboot

3) Disable your antivirus - [u]WARNING![u] - while this is good practice when installing a program, make sure you disconnect yourself from the internet, either by turning the router off or disabling the network port.

4) Re-install CoH

5) Reactivate Antivirus, Reenable Router/Network port

6) Restart PC

7) Enjoy

Edit: Oh! also helps if your logged into the main account on the PC, not sure why, but it helps
